A CHURCH IN DIALOGUE: THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE

To mark the 50^th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council’s Declaration Nostra Aetate, the CCCB Commission for Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews, and Interfaith Dialogue has developed a pastoral resource entitled A Church in Dialogue – The Catholic Church and Interreligious Dialogue. This resource is well suited for parishes and high school religion classes, providing an introduction to the Catholic Church’s involvement in and contributions to interreligious dialogueover the past 50 years. The renewed relationship with the Jewish people and  the fruitfulness of Catholic – Jewish relations is a central theme highlighted in this document. Nostra Aetate, the Declaration on the Relation of the Church with Non-Christian Religions, was promulgated by Blessed Pope Paul VI, October 28, 1965.
